MNA 2017-2019 PARK PROJECTS
Proposed Hilfiker Park - Cambridge
Sunland St. SE and Hilrose entrance
Hilfiker Park is an undeveloped 5 acre park with winding trails, tall trees, picnic table and large grassy area. It is located alongside the private property of the Hilfiker Tree farm.
Morningside NA has been attempting to provide amenities in Hilfiker Park through donations and grants. To continue progress on these and future projects it is necessary to have a master plan so that projects are in line with long term designs for the park property.
On April 14, 2014 a motion to council was made to place Hilfiker Park in the park master planning schedule to follow those parks that staff currently has scheduled in their work plans. It is our goal that this will take place soon within this time period.
March 2018 Morningside Park Multi Use Court
Salem Park Foundation voted to award MNA $2,000 toward the funding necessary for sealing and striping the multi-use court at Morningside Park. On February 15th Salem Park Improvement Funds awarded MNA $800 grant for improvements to the Morningside park multi-use court.
The $2800. grant covered the total cost of resurfacing and line painting.
MORNINGSIDE MAY 5, 2019
