FUTURE FAIRVIEW PARK

The City of Salem in 2016, purchased 26-plus acres from Sustainable Fairview Associates...which once was the Fairview Training Center. Included in the deal is to create a space where visitors can learn about the history of the site, etc.. A master plan was adopted in June, 2016. Park amenities include trails, sports fields, sports court all at once.

Currently Fairview Park Master Plais has been being revisited. The City has collected nearly $2.5 million in Park System Development Charges (SDC fees) to begin developing the Fairview Park. These one-time impact fees ensure new development in our community contribute to expanding park system, directly benefitting residents like you.

On top of that, the 2022 Safety and Livability Bond adds another $550,000 to the project, allowing us to build a dedicated off-leash dog park.
